Danny Daniel’s latest recording carries on in the tradition of artists like John Mayall, Paul Butterfield and Van Morrison. Danny’s vocals are like aged brandy with his soulful harp playing strongly reminiscent of the late Paul Butterfield. As a songwriter, Daniels is steeped in Americana; on “Leavin’ On The Special”, one can hear the spirit of the Mississippi Delta, the south side of Chicago, Beale Street in its heyday and hints of old New Orleans.
